So its like dis my bro Audity and I often discuss the finer things about iidx, im talkin the charts that are actually fun, that gimme a unique experience to play n tryna full combo, usually these get improved while on drugs, feel me?

Well yeah Yinny aka season of fireworks aka dj Schala came up in this piece and we were talking cuz we both be prose at dis game (200kin songs is what we rep in our scores) and we spittin back and forth about this subject, and i guess she showed me the light, and I became enlightened.

Charts aren't good anymore. They're downright formulaic, too predictable, and when they're not predictable, people just use random until it becomes predictable. That's why nobody's reviving Get on Beat Wild Style, dong tepo no1, Small Waves, and KAMIKAZE: They're all dope-ass songs but people gotta act a mofucka about things they don't like in the charts. Yet they're some of the best shit on this game, with respect to charts, songs, keysounds, videos...you name it.

There are charts that I like, don't get me wrong playas. Genocide is cool, I like Garden a lot, and Ganymede, Parasite World, Kigonshu, Sense2007, a bunch of others, but some of these dang charts just rediculos...look at Scorpion Fire (or Sassyribeye as my friends call it cuz they spend all day watching Megatokyo or some shit) when you use random it turns into total diarreah at the end and nonrandom it makes me feel like shit cuz of that ending...just blows my mind and I've only cleared it like 14 times I think. On Life3 of course, I mean no offense, but Life1 and Life2 are for pussies, and life 4 and 5 lean on masochistic IMHO. And excuse my french, but anyone who brags about passing Innocent Walls or Rage Against The Usual on Life1 can suck the big one

But I think Konami's heart is in the right place and they'll be going back to the roots, cuz that Drunk Monky chart is FANTASTIC and if the chartmakers for CS game get hired for AC games or whatnot then we'll be seeing good shit, especially if they keep reviving songs like Drunk Monke cuz it was one of my top5 songs on DistorteD.

So tl;dr In dis topic we discuss whether we think Konami has been makin good charts lately or not

Well, I can't really input anything based off of chart nowadays, but for real the older versions have songs I can't predict or even have a clue of where the notes'll be.

I remember spending some time playing RED, then after a few songs I started asking myself "Why are RED's notecharts so fun!?"

Of course there are more recent ones in GOLD that bring back fun in their notes (Kamaitachi, FIRE FIRE, Watch Out)


Then again, my opinion of a fun notechart relies mostly on how the scratches are integrated...

u can also use pheonx downs or exposition on them if your in a pinch! especially that big boss gost guy lol ^_- he's a joke!@ just like konami's joke in soft landing on the body, one of the best part of 3rd style cs (which stands for Con Sole fyi lol_)
