I reli like the songs that Nekomata Master presented
can anyone tells me about him more ?
like where's he from and how old is he and all thesongs he made...
it will definitely be GREAT if somebody can shares Nekomata's music download 
I have "Beyond the Earth" and "Farewell Heaven" Full version from pop'n CDs and I just enjoy his style !!

Not much is known about him...
But in the Suijou no Teitoku video, when his name appeared, there was a black cat with 2 tails (I think). I suppose that cat represents him.
Neko means cat, and apparently, 'mata' means 'again' or 'another'.
Not too sure though.
His real name is Naoyuki Sato.
Suijou no Teitoku can be found in the Media Shop, IIDX RED CS.

As far as most people know (including myself) know that 猫又 (Nekomata) Master, or Naoyuki Sato, had done music for non-Bemani series from Konami before BEYOND THE EARTH. | |

While "mata" can mean "again" in this case it does not.
Nekomata is a mythical two-tailed abomination of a cat. It's a Japanese legend where (as far as I remember correctly) it steals your soul, kills you and takes over your body.

For some reason Nekomata Master uses a different kanji than the usual one used for Nekomata, tho. It's usually 猫又, but he uses 貓叉. I'm not sure what the significance of that is. Interestingly, when I look up 又 by itself I get 'again', whereas when I look up 叉 I get 'fork of road' or 'crotch of tree'. You'd think 叉 would be the more logical one to use for a two-tailed cat, but for some reason the dictionary uses 又, as does the Windows IME if you type in "nekomata". O_o
Maybe it's a mistake in WWWJDIC? No idea. | |
