Default Affordable gripping mod for your Ransai (and probably DASC)

I recently got back into playing Pop n on my Ransai. As the songs got harder, the more my Ransai would scoot on me on the stand.
When I had played before on the PS2 I had never gotten really good at it so the easy songs wouldnt have the Ransai scooting around nearly as much.

Recently I've been decent enough to play up to level 23 at the scooting has gotten to where it seriously effected the game play. I tried blankets and a number of other things before I finally came across this.

It's called Shelf Liner and I was able to pick it up at my local Dollar Tree. The best parts are it only costs 2 dollars (you need to buy 2 shelf liners) and the shelf liner happens to be the exact width of the ransai controller. Simply unscrew all the back screws on your ransai controller, screw in one side's farthest screws into the shelf liner, stretch it across your ransai, screw in the other sides farthest screws, then screw in all the rest of the screws. Cut off the excess and your ready to go!

The other sheet simply drape over your stand if you use one. Both shelf liners grip onto each other. I would have to purposefully knock over my ransai now for it to move!! The mod also works great for on tables if you use it. Your ransai will hardly budge anymore! Plus it comes in many colors!

Also, I havent tried this on a DASC, but I assume that it would probably work the same.

Let me know if anyone tries this out!

I've actually been using some form of shelf liner for a while with all my bemani controllers (IIDX, pop'n, and DM)

I haven't actually attatched it to my Pop'n ASC (which is a DASC)as you have though, I just simply drape it on my table/stand. Works perfectly though

Thanks for sharing this!

As someone who bought a new keyboard stand without realizing that it's significantly longer than my friend's DASC, it really helps.

I can attest to the success of the usage of Shelf Liners (draped on my wooden stand) to hold a DASC in place even on a slippery wooden surface on which my DASC is placed.

I've met slippery surfaces that shelf liners could not handle. I'd personally like to find an actual rubber grip(s) for some of my various huge controllers. The shelf liners are specifically designed not to be TOO grippy, as they're typically meant for things like pantries, where things are meant to be pulled in and out of.

Though, I've never tried using two liners, which might help.
