Seems unlikely... IIDX is still going and IIRC, Pop'n is more popular than IIDX in Japan.

It's been said time and time again by many people and always seems to be proven wrong. There will be a Pop'n 15. The delay could be caused by many things, I've been told by some that a possible hardware change could be the cause. We don't know for sure, but why suddenly stop one of the most popular arcade games in Japan? It's not like it's dying like DDR was.

Agreed. Pop'n is one of the highest ranked arcade games in Japan (the most popular of the Bemani franchise) and it would be silly to stop now when it makes so much money.

For now, we just have to wait. There's no official explanation on the delay -- just know that instead of the 8-month break between Mixes, we now have a little longer. We can wait

Konami's been using a system as of late for their Japanese AC Bemani games. I've noticed. Once an arcade IIDX comes out, they announce pop'n usually right afterwards, followed a few months by Guitar Freaks. They've been doing this since HAPPY SKY, from what I've seen.

My bet is they're not going to draw attention away from GOLD. The person who said the announcement will come soon after that release is probably right.

it has allways been a new bemani game about every ~6months. I dont think this will change... Or it might change because they want Pop and IIDX have the same releases. like IIDX 14 and Pop 14 at the same time... and after that announce popn 15 and IIDX 15 at once... but that wouldnt be the case Xp

It could be that Konami is really trying to push IIDX Gold, since the Beatmania series' popularity is waning, and doesn't want to remind people about Pop'n Music until it's release.

I don't think it's been toooo long at all. I'd expect an announcement in January at the earliest.

fever doesnt even seem appropriate for a last release. If it was one(like DDr extreme was) I'd expect it to be 50 times more amazing. The point still stands that pop'n is really popular and just stopping would be pretty ridiculous. I guess pateience is the only answer for 15. At least it will be worth wait I think.

For a final Pop'n, I'm expecting a major hardware change that'll include as many songs (including ee'MALL and CS) as possible (of course, a few license songs will be omitted). Imagine that. A Pop'n with some 500 or so songs~

I think ending Pop'n would cause widespread arcade riots.

I think 15 will go ITG and have 44s or something. With tons of DM/GF transplants.

I mean... I dunno about you, but I'd play Die Zauberflote with nine colored buttons.
