Best game to start with

well..I can only play Pop'N Music if I purchase the games from someone on here. which is the best game to start with if youve never played, (except a friends game) and isn't hard to find?

i like artists such as BeForU and anything anime sounding, so a game with a lot of that would be great. :3

This question has been asked a lot, dig around the forums a bit and you'll find peoples' opinions.

People generally recommend 8 or 9 to start out with. 8 is very beginner friendly and has a tutorial mode that starts off using one button and eventually progresses to nine. I've never played 9, so I don't know what it's like. Some also skip straight ahead to 12 or 13; just know if you start out with a later game such as 12 or 13 you may find the interface of the older games rather annoying, so it's a good idea to start out with some of the older PS2 versions.

pop'n 10 or 11 might be your best bets then, as they have some of the best/most popular anime songs/beforu songs.

Pop'n 1, hands down. Not even an opinion, it's a fact. Incredible song list/selection and overall great interface. One of my favorites, no favorite game of all time.

But seriously, I'd recommend 13 (for all around good songlist) or maybe 12.

umm... you need play Pop'n 11 and 12 ..because have ..all bemani artists and anime shit on it XD

I'd have to recommend 13 and 8. 8 doesn't have as many licenses, but when I introduce people to Pop'n it's hands down one of the favorites.

I would recommend starting (as I did), on 8. The gauge is a little easier, there's a really good range of song difficulties, there's really good songs on there, and its a good skill builder in what the songs ask of you.

Dewgy always tells me that if I'm stuck, go back to 8, and its always worked. Considering how good he is, I'd say that's accurate advice.
