Default buttons getting recessed

i homebuilt my controller with buttons from wico and the buttons are starting to become not sensitive and ive noticed the ones with heavier use, the blues and the right green, have kind of sunken down like they dont pop up all the way anymore, and they seem harder to get a click from the microswitch they need to be pushed straight down not from the side at all.

does this happen on anyones ransais/DAC controllers? is this a normal wear down of buttons

I use a popn mini con, ver 2. It doesn't have issues with recession. :p

I guess if your homemade controller is made with wood, check to see if the wood has compressed with slamming. I've played on maybe a few DA controllers, and while the butons don't really change, they have become loose from the socket. The buttons still work (albeit loudly).

I think I know what you're talking about, and I have gotten somewhat of the same thing with my Desktop Arcade controller. The problem might be the connection between the button and the microswitch. Make sure that the switches are properly in place, because I find that when my microswitches are slightly out of place the buttons don't pop up.

This is all I can think of, hope it helps.

A friend of mine who whallops the hell out of his DASC (he's had it for over two years) performed a mod with rubber bands on his Pop'n DASC that seems to be working well for him... I'll see if I can get him to post a how-to/pass along a how-to to me, since this would be universal for all ASCs that use real buttons (Controllica, my Desktop Arcade Pop'ns, Ransai, homemades, etc).

yeah that sounds like my problem arc. its not a problem with the construction of the controller its the buttons themselves not popping up all the way. if i run my finger across the buttons in question, u cant feel the lip at all, but on other buttons you can. maybe i should get stronger springs
