Default Complete list of classical music featured in the [CLASSIC] series

As the title suggests, I'm trying to get a complete list of all of the original pieces used in the [CLASSIC] series on pop'n music. I believe there was a thread like this on 6.0, but that has all been since lost. While I know a few tunes here and there, I don't know any of the official names of the pieces, nor who their composers were, so if anyone can help me get this list together, that would be much obliged!

I can't remember which Classic it is, I bet it's 5 or 6, but it's got Dvorak's New World Symphony 4th movement.

Adding stuff RMZ and others didn't mention. Half of the piano pieces I don't recognize but I swear they're Lizst, Debussy, Chopin, Schumann or whatever pieces but have no idea.

CLASSIC 11

1:17 - Steven Foster's "Swanee River"

CLASSIC 10

Dvorak "New World" Symphony - 2nd movement 'largo'

CLASSIC 8

Brahms -Hungarian Dance no. 3

CLASSIC 6

The begining is Mozart - "Marriage of Fiagro" overture
Moazrt - Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major K467 "Elvira Madigan" 2n mvt andante
Hayden - "Surprise" Symphony 1st mvt
Bach - Little Fugue in G minor
Beethoven - Symphony no. 6 "Pastoral" 1st movt. Allegro ma non troppo

CLASSIC 5

Ravel - "Bolero"
Holst - "Jupiter"

CLASSIC 3

Dvorak - "New World" Symphony
Mozart - Symphony no. 40 "Jupiter" 1st movt.
Mussorgsky - "A Night On Bald Mountain"

NOTE: the "Pictures at an Exhibition" piece RMZ mentions is called the "Promenade". It is the first of 15 different pieces of "Pictures at an Exhibition". I find it humorous that it's the last song in Classic 3.

CLASSIC 2

Holst - "Jupiter" (main theme plays briefly during the William Tell Overture"

CLASSIC 12

ref. to ATHELTIC MEET

Not for Classic 6:
The Bach piece that SirSlarty mentions that occurs is actually the very beginning of Toccata and Fugue

Classic 8:

Beginning and end = Hungarian Dance No. 5 - Brahms (not 3, Steve )
1:07 = Der Erlkönig - Schubert
1:16 = "The Sawn" from Carnival of the Animals - Saint-Seans

Classic 9:

Beginning = "Hallejula Chorus" from The Messiah - Handel
0:08 = Minute Waltz - Chopin
0:35 = Funeral March - Chopin
Right now, I'm at a loss for the rest of the song

I'll figure it out when I have a little more time

Classic 11:

0:00 = Voices of Spring - Strauss
0:33 = I haven't pinpointed it yet, but I'm convinced its something from Carmen by Bizet
0:42 = Sakura - Traditional Japanese folk song
0:52 = "Farandole" from L'Arlesienne - Bizet
1:07 = I have no idea
1:17 = Sawnee River - Foster (SirSlarty already got it, but I'll build a whole list from here once I figure it all out)
1:26 = no clue on that one, either...
1:54 = End of Voices of Spring - Strauss

Classic 6 has BOTH "Little Fugue" in G minor and the famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

The begining notes of Toccata and Fugue in D minor occurs at 0:39 and at 0:44 the main theme from Little Fugue in G minor plays.

Ah, looks like I was wrong. Dvorak's "new World" symphony wasn't in 5 or 6

This is a very handy guide, though.

The first post has been updated.

If it's missing anything, or any information is incorrect, let me know and I'll fix it. I want to eventually have a complete list of all of the pieces in their correct titles and their composers.

Thanks to everyone who has helped build this list!

It's actually in Chaos Age (1) and Dynamics (3). This I am 100% positive. The arrangers must have liked this piece or something. Might be in others but haven't checked.

So, it's by Dvorak, and the actual name of the New World Symphony's 4th movement is "Allegro con fuoco".

I'm not sure if you know or not but just to explain to some people reading this thread.

The "names" of movements in many classical songs are descriptions of how fast the tempo is and in Italian.

allegro - A composition in fast tempo, especially the first and last movements of a sonata, symphony, etc.

con fuoco means "fire" in Italian

"allegro con fuoco" means "fast with fire"
