Marketplace Rating: 1 | Complete songlist? I've been looking at getting into Pop'n recently - I had the chance to play on an arcade machine last summer and I really liked it (despite finding it awesomely hard).
I've asked different people for their opinions on which mix I should start out with, and the standard response is, "Pick ___ because of the songs."
I don't know about you, but I tend to have rather unusual musical tastes, and I genuinely have no idea whether I would love or hate the songs that are near and dear to these well-meaning folks.
So I'm trying to find a list of the songs on each CS mix, but failing. The Pop'nnomicon lists only the songs which are new to each mix, and in some cases not even that.
There's a great version-by-version songlist on this site, but it doesn't seem to be complete. Hence my question: does anyone know where I can find a *complete* songlist (not just the new or exclusive songs) for any of the Pop'n CS mixes? OTOH, can anyone who has the games post the song-list here (preferably in romanization or at least katakana rather than a bunch of kanji)?

Use that. Just select the game you want and be sure to use 9-line. It'll list every song for each CS version from 6-12 and Best Hits.
Format is:
GENRE / TITLE / ARTIST
Get 8 or 12 because of the songlists. But 9 has the best CS songs. At least I think so.

Here's another good one, but it's Japanese. At least it covers the early mixes...

Marketplace Rating: 1 | Now why did I not think of using Pop'n Navy? I know I'd heard of it... Awell, good suggestion, SirSlarty. Following through on it now.
And Malev: that's pretty good, actually! I'll have to try translating the older songlists (Pop'n Navy apparently only goes back through Pop'n Music 6). But my Japanese is so poor...
Hey, is there any way to submit corrections/updates to the songlists on this site? It occurs to me that it might be nice to transfer the songlists over to Bemanistyle (benefits of centralization and all that).

I know maybe 100 words of Japanese... maybe. And I'm still missing the corresponding kanji in many cases. I can usually sound out computer- or gaming- related words and guess what they correspond to in English (quick! what's "akeiddo"?). I can romanize katakana phonetically. Sadly, this is a far cry from really being able to read Japanese.
For now, the Pop'n Navy technique suits me much better, since I'm not really considering importing anything before Best Hits yet. As for the future... um... continuing education for the win!

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I'm currently in the process of making a list of each song that's appeared in every home version of pop'n music to date, arranged by game. Even BEST HITS. Currently I'm only up to pop'n music 4, and I've only compiled the data as far up to as pop'n music 8.

Do you need any help? For that matter, is there any way I could help? I could gather the song data Pop'ns 9 through 12, if you're interested.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Mine has genre, song names, and artist names (and, unlike that list, goes back to the original pop'n music). Though if their names are in Japanese I keep them as such.
I'd like to this for the arcade as well, but that's probably a little harder to find info on.
