Default controller building help

ok so I've looked at waynes guide i've looked at Pop'n Music ASC that guide. and a few other things here and there and i cant find any instructions on the buttons and where the wires from the pcb are supposed to go. and my friend has a question on the lights because he saw that there is no inner connectivity between the light and the rest of the switch. I'm using these little things i got from OSH so i don't have to solder and they work perfect i just don't know which ire goes to where heh. any info and possible picture would be a great deal of help. thanks a lot.

Here is a picture of how to hook the buttons up so they work.

Ransai :: View topic - Installing your own lightkit.

As far as lighting the buttons, that is a little more complex, Random's post on installing a lightkit was the most helpful thing I found when building mine. Also Foxfirex's post about how to solve the static build up problem worked very well.

The second prong is for if the switch needs to be wired so that it's always on, but switches between the signal it's sending. For example as opposed to a light switch that turns one light on or off, think of a light switch that switches between which of two lights is turned on.

The prongs by the light are used for just that, controlling the light; although that really is a completely different subject than just getting the controller to work.

The one thing that I had a problem with is phantom button hits when I have the lights on. I attribute it to static electricity. So tell me if you find a solution to this.

I had a similar problem with phantom hits on my controller. I added some very low ohm resistors (maybe 10 or 100 ohm) between the controller and the button on each button signal line, and it really cleared up the problem. I go months at a time without a phantom button press now.
