Default Controllica pop'n music mini-controller

Has anyone here ever used this controller?

http://www.controllica.com/pnm_small/pnm_small.html

I've been considering getting it during a special occasion since my sister and I are interested in pop'n music (but can't afford an ASC quite yet)... is it worth it to get this Controllica controller, or just to get the official controller?

The official version 2. I hear it's relatively easier to feel the buttons and all.

However if you are ever able to come up with $120-$150, you might be able to get a used DASC or RASC shipped, and I would say that's worth it if you get the opportunity.

But for now, yeah, version 2.

Do NOT get a Controllica mini controller. You'll be paying $60 for a rewired four dollar Chinese knockoff. Save your money for an ASC, or the official Konami mini controller.

Dewgy is correct. Those knockoff minicons suck, and a lot of them aren't even wired properly to work with Pnm. I'd suggest buying an official Konami minicon if money is an issue, or saving for a third party ASC.

Definitely save up and buy an ASC. I haven't played on a mini myself, but it looks like with a controller that small you may as well be playing IIDX. Another option if you're adventurous is to build your own ASC. That's what I did, and it was substantially cheaper than buying an ASC. But if you're willing to spend about $200, wait for the DJ DAO controllers to be available because that is definitely the best looking ASC I've seen.

Guess it's most likely we'll get the official mini first, and then migrate to a DJ Dao pop'n controller (customization isn't a necessity as much as just having a nice functioning ASC controller without paying the hefty price for the official one).

But it's likely I might get the Dao IIDX PE controller first, since that's the game I can actually play, as opposed to a game I've never played before. :P
