lol, wish I could help.

I'll tell you something though, the DASC and all ASCs for that matter have L R and D shorted with ground which is how the PS2 recognizes it as an ASC. I doubt that has anything to do with it though. The radio shack adaptor is pretty cheap. I use an EMS2 and it works with pretty much everything I stick in it though I have not tried it with a DASC.

If you do get one and you try it out please post the results, cause I was wondering the same thing about my DASC. My friend tried out his USB (not sure of the brand) adapter with no luck... it would be nice if there was a solution to this problem.

don't know if you are still looking, maybe try goin into control panel, game controllers, then calibrating the controller so it resets itself back to the center, rather than holding down the 3 directions?

V4 DASCs don't work with adapters. They use some weird PS2 PCB.

I own a DASC and I'm able to get it working with my RadioShack PS2-USB adapter (#26-304, 09A04) and the Super Joy Box 5 Pro I brought recently from play-asia. One thing you could try is plug in a ps2 controller, config the buttons and plug in your DASC. You may have to get another adapter if you still have troble getting it to read.

I can confirm that this is also working on my red Smartjoy PSX-usb adapter

PS: Hey Joe!

I have a DASC and it wouldn't work very well if not at all when I hooked it up to my computer (using a radioshack adapter). I solved this by buying a USB hub that has it's own adapter that you plug into the wall. After that the controller works 100% of the time for me.
