Difficulty changes throughout Pop'n

Rather than dwell on some of the most recent difficulty changes, I'm curious to know some of most radical changes of difficulty in Pop'n that go back as far as Pop'n 6-7ish. Also some of the difficult changes most people didn't get to see like from AC to CS. I know House EX used to be a 37 way back in the day? Any other major ones you can think of?

Classic 4 Hyper used to be like a 24 (28?). But I supposed that doesn't necessarily count.

Classic 7 EX was a 43.

Smile Smash EX was a 40 LOL.

Smile Smash EX a 40? lol, that insane. I remember that Des-Asa song from 13 being a 42 in Arcade. It's even a laughable 41 now.

Classic 6 used to be in the mid-high 20's as I recll.

Xmas Presents went from 37 to 39.

Goemon finally got upped from 35 to 37.

Taiga Remix went from 37 - 39

Digitechno went from 37 - 39

Smile Smash is a 36 in Adventure.

Tokimeki Bossa went from 27 to 25

Yeah, Smile Smash is a 40 on Carnival AC. It was one of the last ones I played and I thought "hmm, hope this one isn't too gay...", played it, thought "oh this is a pretty good 38 if I 98k'd it sightread". Then I saw a few weeks later it got moved down to a 36 and laughed reallllly hard.

Pop'n 6 AC/CS Diffculties are extra messed up cause the number is based on the notecount of the song

I do too. As it is the last 41 left for me to pass, and I've passed a couple 42's to boot. Even using extreme towel bag is a pain and the end of lom is still difficult. I'd say its pretty fair to say it's a 42.

Bag is horrible, but the rest of it is pretty comboable. Even not doing the song until the end of Bag I still semi-easily build up enough for a clear.

DDR EX is a 41. I've comboed it on a few occasions, whereas 42s...not so much, ever. I understand that it's one of the harder 41s to clear, but it's really only a reading challenge, and not performance. Players with a wide range of reading ability actually clear it earlier than a lot of other 41s. I know I cleared it way before the likes of Lamento.
