I have a Desktop Arcade ASC, and after a couple of dud microswitches, I can say that the controller is quite worth it.
I'm curious as to how a Dao performs; I'd like to play on one.

i have only played on a ransai and a djdao so not a desktop arcade one. but i would highly recommend the djdao control. it does take a lot of communication to finally get one ( in my case anyway ) but its worth it in the end. the only thing is that shipping is a bit steep. i would read thru the whole djdao thread to better understand...well probably all u need to know. | |

Hi
I have a Dao and a Desctop Arcade one. I like the Dao more because it makes not so much noise than the Desctop Arcade. And I like the lighting in the Buttons on the Dao and the Design. Hope this will help you.

It can take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month, depending on how picky customs end up being. Also, when you receive your controller, don't automatically assume that it's DOA. You'll need to plug in both the PS2 controller AND the USB (which means that yes, this isn't compatible with the PS1).

That will work, sure, but I'd assume someone playing on a PS1 wouldn't have a PS2...otherwise, why would you be playing on a PS1? (There's probably an answer to this, but I'm just saying)

I'd buy a mini.
...I mean a Dao. It's what I'll be getting when tax returns roll around. They seem to have a solid history, and the price is decent as well. Only downfall I really see is the horrors of international shipping... | |

It took quite a while (as in a few months) to receive Desktop Arcade, otherwise it's a good homebrew controller. In retrospect, I would prefer Dao and I will probably order in the future if he continues producing high quality controllers and shipping them in a reasonable time. | |
