Default FEVER vs. ADVENTURE

The pop'n music PSP thread has pretty much been derailed into exactly this...

GO!

Actually, not really. But leave the PSP thread alone. :[

Well, you'll be able to test your hands (or fingers, rather) at Adventure when pop'n PSP releases, given you own a PSP.

Since the thread is here, why not.

I think Hell 15 is probably the most 'epic' Hell course ever....barring Anthem Trance Remix.

Anthem Trance Remix > something hellish > something sorta heavenly > nothingness

Also, the unlock system for 15 looks niftier than the one for 14, and 15 has a better selection of songs, characters, and its interface is fantastically put together.

Also, 15 introduced .5 hi-speeds and random-level courses -- both helped me progress quite a bit.

Adventure's clear markers of banana and double banana sealed the deal for me.

Wait how is this even a question?

I propose a thread change to movie vs. fever.

Adventure is the best game ever so let's not even compare it.

I agree with you completely.

The Movie vs FEVER is a good idea, but The Movie, as bad as it is, still wins. Because FEVER is the worst pop'n.

I guess you're right, Ninja Metal and Russia 2 make up for a lack of awesome in the rest of the songlist.

FEVER is fine but the songlist feels more like IIDX than is typical for the series, same goes for PARTY and MOVIE

personally i liked PARTY more than ADVENTURE although neu is still one of my favorite songs in the series

I think Adventure is one of the best in terms of overall presentation. The OST is also amazing. Fever isn't especially great IMO. I'd agree with k// that it feels like a IIDX songlist. There are only a handful of songs that are awesome. I play Pop'n over IIDX because the songs are more fun, lighthearted, and, for lack of a better word, wacky. Fever didn't really appeal to me.

Oh, here's another thing Adventure gave me that Fever lacked: Panic Pop [EX], whose chart is AMAZING.

Uh that's on Fever not Adv. (aside from the fact the chart is abysmal and not amazing at all).

Based on new songs alone, I'd say Adventure wins simply because of Shy Pop alone. (Lolwut. Though there's also Darkness 3, Nadeshiko Rock, etc...)
The .5 mods definitely help me a lot, especially on songs at 180+ bpm.

Aaaannnddd...Waiting for the Chibikko Idol fest to begin.

I like Adventure's theme/interface better and I can play the songs I like from Feever on Adventure (in the AC, anyway). Also, Adventure has my favorite soundtrack since pop'n 11.
