Panic Pop did not have an EX on FEVER AC. They gave it an EX on Adventure AC. On FEVER CS they decided to throw in the EX, but the chart is not from FEVER/

Double banana? I don't remember any double bananas?

There was yellow banana for clear (gray banana for a "not clear"), 2 crossed swords for the FC mark and a crown for the PC.

You can see all three (kind of...) on one of my old pictures from Adventure AC like 2 years ago.

But yeah Adventure > Fever, though I don't think Fever is that bad.

I liked virtually every song in Fever except like, five, so it's kind of ridiculous to think that the community hated it that much. And what the hell is up with these comparisons on a song by song basis? Shouldn't it be comparing the entirety of both games? Well, whatever, I don't think I can muster enough calm to peek in this thread anymore

Oh, those are swords...I always thought it was two bananas. :| Alas, I did not play as much e-amuse enabled Adventure as I'd like to have, so bear with me on the clear markers.

Fever had a tatsh song.
Adventure had ska a go go, all 3 versions.

I'm not even seeing this as a fair competition.

FEVER CS had a Tatsh song.

The main aim of this thread was for FEVER AC vs ADVENTURE AC, considering...you know, FEVER CS vs ADVENTURE CS is self-explanatory, and FEVER CS vs ADVENTURE AC just wouldn't make any sense.

Heh, well it's easy to get confused, even I wasn't quite sure about it after you mentioned it. I had to go and check out my old pics to make sure they weren't crossed bananas and I did play quite a bit of e-amuse enabled Adventure AC, haha.

yes

I think so Also, the unlock system for 15 looks niftier than the one for 14, and 15 has a better selection of songs, characters, and its interface is fantastically put together.

Hahaha this thread has been great so far. I give FEVER credit for being harder than carnival and iroha though...wait...FEVER only had 1 41, and Cyber Flamenco and Kenka drum are some of the easiest 42s in pop'n.

Nah, I can't really think of a reason why the whole of FEVER could even be considered anywhere near close to as good as Adventure was.

Now Adventure vs. Party could be a bigger argument, since a lot of [misguided] people like party better even though it has one of the worst deletion lists in bemani history, and basically got rid of long versions which were incredible imo. Not to mention the songs in party were largely crossovers so even if the musical quality did match that of adventure, for those of us who play other bemani games the novelty of playing tamayura and V had worn off years before.

iirc tamayura on pop'n 16 was the first time the song crossed over to any other bemani so it was pretty rad to see it there. Also basing the games off of difficulty = who cares. If we compared 9 and 14 would 14 win because its overall harder than 9? I'd hope thats not the case, cus 9 is one of the best pop'ns out there.

Now I'm not the greatest at this game or anything, but I like them both evenly. They got their share of good songs and bad songs, but I focus more on songs than I do mixes as a whole usually.

Difficulty alone, yeah you're right about that. But 14 doesn't even have that going for it, as new of a mix as it is compared to 9, I still think 9 is way harder (especially for songs hard to score on like HR2). 9 has way better songs as well so obviously 14 just isn't that good.

ps If you play other bemani fairly often, crossovers pretty much don't have any value and are instead a waste of space :P Anyone who wants to argue that can go ahead, but unless you're talking about a song that has long since been removed from its original game, or is from a dead bemani like mambo a go go or keyboardmania, then it's not going to convince me :P Even some of those are overdone (looking at tl100sec here).
