Default Habatake! The Great Gambler

I'm a bit confused about this song's original origin.

As we all know, pop'n music has a fair amount of songs from anime, however, most of them are usually licensed...like Mazinger Z for instance.

The song Habatake! The Great Gambler debuted in pop'n music 2 and was revived a few times on CS releases. My main concern is whether this song is a license or not; it's not like KONAMI to repeat licensed songs on CS releases.

Ichiro Mizuki sang in this song and Mazinger Z, however, Mazinger Z is listed in the licensed area (because it's a licensed song) while Habatake! The Great Gambler is repeated a few times and not listed in the licenses section...it's listed in the AC section.

Another thing is this --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1o4YnIOCyww

^: It appears to be an anime (TV section folks) called Great (Legendary?) Gambler Akagi.

Here is the song on pop'n music --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhprvIxkMyw

Was this anime made BEFORE or AFTER Habatake! The Great Gambler showed up on pop'n music 2? In my opinion, I think that the anime was made afterwards because it looks pretty darn modern in comparison to back when pop'n music 2 came out back in 1999.

Maybe Ichiro Mizuki decided not to make this song a license (free gift? XD) and let pop'n music series have the song? Or maybe Great Gambler Akagi was a very short anime made afterwards with the this song included (dunno if it became licensed afterwards)? Or maybe (doubtful) this song came from this anime.....Warudoc, Toru, the girl, etc....what do they have to do with this song; are they from some anime or show?

Sorry for the mass confusion, but I'd like to know about this.

I'll try to answer this as concisely as possible.

- Habatake, the Great Gambler (Anime Hero R) was composed for pop'n music. Therefore, it's not a license. Like the genres for Rock, Pop, and the such, the Anime Hero genre of songs tries to emulate anime theme songs, especially those for the mecha series of the 70's and 80's.
- Ichiro Mizuki has sung a great deal of songs for old school anime series, including Mazinger Z. By having him sing Anime Hero R, it gave a sense of realism to the song, since it's basically trying to imitate typical theme songs of that era. The first Anime Hero (Tatakae!! Gambler Z) was sung by a different individual.
- Akagi is an anime, yes, but it's only called "Akagi." That video you linked is an AMV using Anime Hero R for BGM.
- Toru Kamikaze, Hiroshi Jingu, Warudoc, and others are basically part of a fictional ingame anime series. There are other pop'n characters (Cyber, Smile, etc.) that are fans of that series.
