Total Tokens: 298.56 Donate Tokens | HDTV pop'n problems :( Okay so the T.V. in my basement was in need of a serious upgrade, so I decided to buy a 27 inch flat screen HD ready t.v. I got home hooked everything up and the first thing I did was play popn'. Of course something had to go wrong. I start playing a song and get a 78K, when my previous record is a 98K. So i realize that the T.V. must be lagging. The only thing i could think of trying was turning the "scan" funtion off, nothing. Then I checked to see where the AV cables were pluged in. Of course they were in the right slots and not the component slots. I have no idea what it going on! So i figured i would ask for some help.
any ideas?

The lag is from the PS2's signal being slowly processed by the TV for output, which is a problem most HDTV's still have.

I tried dealing with lag by adjusting the timing on GF/DM games for a while, but it still sucks. Eliminating the cause of the lag is the real solution.

I played on the Sony WEGA in my living room for awhile.. scores sucked at first but I just tried to hit the notes a bit early and go with the music more. Eventually was able to 98k stuff again. You will not be able to read stuff quite as fast when using a lagged TV, so try turning the hispeed down one notch and see if that helps.
