Default Homemade Pop'n Music Cabinet

Hi everybody

Hope this isn't old news - but if it is please don't hate me

I just found this video of the Super Mario Bros theme played on Pop'n 15 ( AC ? ) on Youtube - but what surprised me was the homemade setup it was played on. Besides from the angle / placement of the buttons - it looks very cool...

HOMEMADE POP'N MUSIC CABINET

Funny that you mention it, I started to build my own Pop'n Music Arcade cabinet a few days ago.

I'm blogging the progress on The Pop’n Music Arcade Cabinet
for anyone who's interested.

@zorahk
- A real PnM arcade plays only one style ( correct me if i'm wrong)
- It's a lot of fun to build your own cabinet :-p
- My cabinet perfectly fits my size, unlike the real PnM arcade cabinet

(To be honest, the one in the clip does look a bit lame, hopefully mine will turn out better ;-) )

Its either 15AC or a really good emulator of 15AC, either way, his cab is cool but unimpressive compared to some of the others that have been posted recently in the IIDX forum.

That is no emulator... and it is not running arcade hardware...

Enough said...

Yes, I have seen some very impressive IIDX setups - but I this is one the best homemade Pop'n cabinet I have seen.

If it's not running an emulator, it kind of has to be running an Adventure PCB...

I am sorry, worded incorrectly - it is not an "simulator" or the arcade hardware. It is not quite legal... and should not be talked about here.

The real machines are also at angles like that. I'm don't know if it's that extreme on an angle though.

PS Someone's going to get banned.

^ I don't think the real machines are really at an angle, I played on a pop'n 14 machine at sunnyvale golfland two weeks ago and it's flat, so I mean I'm pretty sure there's not an angle.

I play on a Carnival machine every day, it's def at an angle. Unless you're talking about the weird purple cabs, but those are also at an angle, just not as much.

I went to sunnyvale again today (1 hour drive) and you're right, its kinda at an angle but it's basically flat.
