how would I go about playing pop'n 14 with a IIDX controller?

my friend and I have been trying to figure this out. What button should be what and what do I press to set it? (we only wanna p lay 5k)

Agreed.

If you're going to be playing pop'n with anything that isn't a dedicated pop'n controller (mini-con or ASC), DualShock is the way to go.

In that case, if you have a PS2 > USB adapter, I'd say figuring out, through matching the IIDX button inputs to ordinary PSX button inputs, what the IIDX buttons map to is your best bet in lieu of an actual mapping guide.

I do recall seeing a mapping guide somewhere, though, and lemme see if I can dig that up for you...
