Marketplace Rating: 8 | Introduce yourself - Pop'n Music Players I know there are hardly any newcomers to this section of the boards, but I thought it might be nice to get to know everyone better and get an idea of where everyone is playing from. I recognize avatars on the site all the time, but I know so little about the actual community. So I guess I will start.
UPDATED:
My name is Matt and I'm 25 years old. For the past 2 years I've been living in Japan working. I got into Pop'n Music about 5 years ago when a friend introduced me to the PS2 version (I think it was maybe Pop'n 11?) Needless to say I got really obsessed with the game, bought my own controller, and eventually bought my own machine. I've since sold the machine, but definitely don't regret the experience. I find music games like this a great way to meet people. Through tournaments and events, I've made a lot of friends I still keep in touch with...and even today, I still play almost every day :P

I'm Lyte. I'm from Wales which is a small unheard of European country. I'm 15 and I've been playing since March. Dualshock first, then a minicon. I found Pop'n when I was looking around on Deviantart when I came across someone posting a link to a video of Megane Rock. Loved the song, loved the character's design, loved the gameplay so I decided to look up more about it. I am a female.
14 is my favorite mix, as I started with it~
Favorite Character(s): Hajime, Higurashi, MZD, Wilhelm.
Least Favorite Character: Kid and all of his clones.
Favorite Song(s): Negame Rock, Kenka Drums, Megane Rock, Hip Rock 4, Enzetsu.
Favorite Chart(s): Kenka Drums, Megane Rock, Der Wald, VS Sound.
Levels Played: 34-35 on Dao.

I never going to reveal my real name just yet. But for now, just call me Timer Rabbit or just plain "Timer". I'm currenly a animation major and going gaga for some animes and games (currently obsess over Umineko even though I am suck a bad dork for no reading the novels/watching the anime yet). My first discovery was when Konami released DDR Extreme AC and noticed that I got hooked to Love2 Sugar (the song and character). I took action of interest by surfing every Pop'n AC and CS websites to understand.
I first played Pop'n Music since like at 2005-2006? I played Pop'n Music 11 at Arcade Infinity (at California, USA), when my family decided to visit Diamond Plaza for the first time. Till then, the only accessability to play Pop'n Music is at the arcades. I never have enough money for a ASC or anything to convert the PS2. I got Pop'n Music Carnival CS as a B-Day present. (For now a collectable.)
You can tell that my username is taken from a certain well-known Pop'n Music character... (Tired of using a girly name, lol) Currently playing Trickster Online with a Bunny named after "Minit's", Timer's little sister in the Pop'n universe. (Update: Late last year, I changed Mintis name to "LadyGaap", because blonde does not suit the name anymore, and she technically "age" on the game, so a new name is needed...)
Other talents are drawing. And currently falling in the "furry fandom". (I still like human characters, not to be mistaken.)
P.S. Timer Rabbit is a girl! ;O UPDATE: Now we somehow have this table info, right?
Favorite Character(s): Minit's and Timer. (Most played in arcades.) I also like Nox + Matin (of all Zektbach characters), Lyra, Mirai Yumeno, and then recently Moimoi. Least Favorite Character: I don't really have a hated character, but anyone that is over the charts can get me bored after a while. (EX: Deuil, Milk, etc.. Well, Timer is in the same boarderline, but he has a certain charm for me to keep loving him.) Favorite Song(s):Chibikko Idol, Digi-series (Digi Rock, Digi Pop, Cyber Digibeat), Get Wild, Jewlery Girl, SIGISG/Smoooch, anything techno, "Ryusei-Rave", hardcore, etc. (AKA the songs that you can typically listen at IIDX.) Levels Played: Can pass 23s... I'm behind and aware of it. Favorite Chart: I am no pro, but I do enjoy UK Hit Chart N... Guh still went "WTF" when the song rating changes from PnM11 to PnM14/15... Oh and not the overall fun-factor, but I raid to much Chibikko when the arcade was free... (The least favorite even though it's Timer would have to be SPARK and Digi-Beat. :I) Pop'n Access: Arcade Infinity closed down and Super Arcade is repairing Pop'n Music (spot that it had the FEVER logo attached). Again Carnival CS is my collectable atm.

Bemani is sadly non-existant here except for DDR, so no arcade for me.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | Hi!
My name is Matt also (@ARBEL). I'm from Mill Valley, CA also known as the place where them "marin county hot-tubbers" live (thanks Bush Sr.!)
It's close to San Francisco, for those who don't know where it is. Right over the bridge.
I started playing pop'n about 2 years ago when I got interested in Bemani again. I played DDR back in the late 90's and early 2000's and once that pretty much died I stopped. But then I got interested in playing again, and I decided to try pop'n. I started with 14 CS and then bought a DJ Dao. After that I bought a bunch of the other CS games.
I go to SVGL to play pop'n AC, and finally when SVGL got 16 I met kenchan over there last September when I was down there with some friends to have some fun on my birthday. Kenchan was telling me about how he just bought a cabinet, and I was enthralled. I ended up realizing over time that I dislike CS more and more each day, and so last week I officially purchased my Pop'n Music 15 Adventure cabinet, which should arrive here in July. I also got an upgrade kit on hold for me from Ken, since he has a 16 HDD.
More info on that end though when it's actually here. I plan to make the first true information database for pop'n machines.

As you can guess from my username, my name's Axel (the 'DM' part has nothing to do with DM Ashura, I took it from beatmania's song Digital Mind). I'm 18 years old.
I live in Concepción, Chile (South America). I discovered pop'n when DDR EXTREME came out (because on my city there aren't more BEMANI games besides DDR).
I've been playing pop'n since... 2008? Yeah, I haven't played too much pop'n, being the lack of ACs the main reason, so I've been playing just on CS games. I don't really know if there are pop'n machines on Chile, sadly.
My first CS game was pop'n 14, and I've got some other CS games since then. I don't have a controller, but I plan to buy one when I have the money to.
Feel free to ask me anything
P.S: Excuse my 'engrish' sometimes, but spanish is my main language xP

I'm Joe P.. I started like every other kid with DDR. Still sorta play it every so often today... Started playing TGA's pop'n setup back when all they had was pop'n 10 home version. Then once TGA got its machine I didn't do much with it. Played Denkai Matsuri, Darkwish and Carnival March over and over cus those were the best songs ever. Once the DDR Ranbats were canceled at TGA, I took more of a look into pop'n... slowly got addicted and now I found myself buying a Dao. Man, for the $300 investment, it was so worth it.
I'm most likely the only one from Boston that plays and enjoys this game. I find myself trying to get everyone I know into it now <_<;
Level Played: 37-38
Favorite characters: Mamoru-kun, Nickey, Judy (13th)
Least favorite characters: Kid and his clones, eleMins, Aloe, The stupid looking girl from J-Party rock
Favorite song to listen to: Love*Ba*ZooKa
Least favorite song: Vairocana argh jesus.
Crossover I want the most: Fire Fire
Song in Pop'n 17 I'm most looking forward to playing: Capsule Princess, Star Ship*Hero
Favorite chart to play: J-House Pop EX
I wish I can clear: Megane Rock EX... Better yet I'll just put Schrodingers Cat EX here
First 100k: Oh-Misoka [Hyper]

My first real experience with PoMu was a few years back, right around the time of FEVER!'s CS release, when I got curious about it after having played IIDX for almost half a year. I watched a bunch of videos, and decided it was interesting, and pre-ordered FEVER! CS with a minicon. At Connecticon that year I played on an ASC, dropping right in with my first song being Darkness 2[N] on PoMu 9 and decided that was too much fun to not put money into, and bought an ASC from DesktopArcade, who had a table in the Dealer's Room. I also got a Roku plushie while I was there >.>;
Anyways, now I play at a 37-38 level, depending on the version I'm playing, and am probably going to upgrade to a Dao sometime before the end of the year. And I also tend to try to get everyone I know to play it, to very little success XD

Marketplace Rating: 10 | Yo, my name is Jon, but you may know me as 六. Obviously Roku is my favorite character as guessed from the name usage. I first started playing DDR in 2003 and first heard of Pop'n Music from a video of that japanese dude in the orange jacket playing Powerfolk 5 on AaronInJapan.com. At first I thought it was funny and silly, but I liked the song and wanted to play it so I bought Pop'n 7 CS. I am probably the only one here that prefers the KASC over the dao, mainly because of the button colors. I first played on a Pop'n cabinet at AI when I was there on vacation(live in AZ btw) and met up with Owen. My girlfriend(danirith), whom I love more than anything in this world, and I go to Tempe GameWorks to play on the Adventure Cab during the day, so the pricks that like to show people up, aren't there(I'm in the 20-22 range). I also collect whatever Pop'n merchandise that floats my boat or anything that has to do with Roku. I am in the talks with kenchan about buying a cabinet for my own selfish play and upgrading it to 16. I also played IIDX for awhile but got bored of it at about the 4-5 level.
I go to GCC for the time being, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Japanese. I am 21 going on 22 next month. Quote:

Speaking Japanese and having a long distance phone plan is a must, however.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | My name is Michelle, but here I go by Danirith. I am 19 until November and am saving up for school and a car. I am hoping to major in Linguistics or some form of Mathematics and minor in either Japanese or Korean. I'm so indecisive. Maybe study Esperanto; languages fascinate me. I have a puppy, a kitten, and a large gray rat. I am hoping to get a snake and/or hedgehog, but my sister in law will throw me over the hill.
Yes, Jon [六] is my beloved boyfriend of over a year; we met because of DDR actually lol. I've obsessed over the game since my brother got it for the Dreamcast. After meeting him, he introduced me into other games such as IIDX and Pop'n Music. I LOVE collecting Pop'n Merch and BeForU (preferrably Kosaka Riyu) stuff. Other than that, I mostly play old school games from the Genesis to the PS1... and the occasional Initial D when there aren't jerks hogging the damn game.
And there is my life story lol. よろしくね
