Default Keyboard stands for Pop n'!

Hey y'all. Since I have grown very tired of sitting (usually in a less than comfortable position) and playing Popn, I was wondering what brands/types of keyboard stands you all use, for those that like to stand and play.

I was thinking about buying a double barred X-model keyboard stand of some kind, but from what I've been reading on amazon and ebay, some brands are definitely not good for more 'rigorous' play.

Suggestions, comments, free copies of popn 13?

If you can, find a waist-level or above table or desk to play on. That way, you can put the controller right near the screen. And if you are able, you can even prop the TV up a little bit.

...if I ever get a ransai, I'll show you what I mean.

I use the one pictured in B.
Double X-Brace Keyboard Stand (#PL400).
Height adjusts from 27" - 37"

Whatever you can get that is about a meter high (36 inches, 3 feet) will be good, thats about arcade height.

Just get one that's sturdy, fairly heavy (so it doesn't wobble) and go to Home Depot and blow $10 on a ratchet strap. The strap, when tightened enough, will hold your controller SOLIDLY to the stand, and with a heavy enough stand it'll barely even shift in the slightest when you play.

I don't know what mine is since it was free, but it's double brace, has good height settings (basically arcade height), and the only problem I've had with it is slight movement on harder songs, like when I try Athletic Meet EX. (dun dun dun dun SMASH SMASH SMASH SMASH SMASH makes it amost fall over if I do it right )

I use my controller on the ironing board. It seems more secure than when I used it on my keyboard stand before.

the ratchet strap really helps. the controller wont slide around on top of the stand, and it also lets you tie the stand to the back of the controller if you're moving it around to a con or something.

i got a pro line quick release from guitar center. possibly the best 50 bucks i ever spent?

with the stand i got, i didnt even need a strap. no matter how hard i play, the controller does not budge an INCH. i think i have exactly what Krost does, and i got it from the same place, right there on Frederick Rd in Catonsville. it was $30, it has stood up to many 40s and some 41s, multiple players, and no matter how hard i hit it, it never slides. i have actually tilted it at a 45 degree angle and played like that (i wanted to sit for a moment) and it didnt fall off, i was very impressive. i would recommend that. ill double check tonight, but im almost certain its the same thing Krost mentioned.
