Highest level I've ever been able to pass so far is a 33, although I still fail at numerous lower level songs. I was thrilled when I passed my first 30. I don't think I will ever pass any of the really higher level songs, I just don't play enough.

Ok i think my biggest problem is scaling. I mean like my mind is complete blank when scales came down and my hand can't keep up.

I also can't scale in IIDX too

I'll recommend to you what I recommend to everyone else: Lesson [H].

From Pop'n 5.

It's a Lv30. But there's only been a Hyper since Pop'n 9(?)

It's a lv30 that teaches you some more advanced basic patterns, if that makes any sense to you; they go through every pattern once slowly and then once at a fairly moderate speed.

Oh yeah! I remember that song, scaling part kills me...

So i have to keep spamming that song until i can do scaling with one hand on each side?

I realised Violin Progressive (H) and Battle Dance (H) also have a lot of scaling

Yeah, sorta. I need to find alternatives to that, because Lesson as a song can get tiring pretty fast.

I want to say Melt [EX]. The ending is pretty scaley.

I failed Melt (ex) before, my bar went from full to empty because of the killer scales at the end @>@

I just don't get how my friends could scale pretty well... Their hands are placed at the centre of 5 buttons of each side and they just sweep their fingers and scaling is done

On the scaling problem. Play Carnival Hyper and Ex. Loads of scales on both difficulties.

That looks hard...

Can someone make a scaling tutorial video and upload in youtube? The hand movement and everything :P

I can actually pass Carnival Hyper (a level 33), a big accomplishment for me, although a lot of the scales are not that fast and I can get through them. Anything that has faster scales, I just 'fake it' by sliding my hands across the buttons quickly to cover all the notes. I guess this is sort of cheating? I don't have good technique for this otherwise, I agree some video tutorial would be great.

It was two weeks ago that I played AC Pop'n for the first time, and now I can clear Klungkung 1655 and Memento Mori.

It's good to play both IIDX and Pop'n.

I have no problem with scales exhibited in Melt and such, but I have issues with scales that "go back and forth" over the controller, like toy con H and classic 10 EX. I'm not really sure what to do.
