pop'n music 10 has the best licenses next to pop'n music 8, which you already experienced. The pop'n music 10 unlock system is the worst unlock system in the entire BEMANI series (that I know of).

I've only played 7, 9, 13, and 14, but my ranking of those would be:

14 > 9 > 13 > 7.

I think 14 is fantastic. Not sure where the apathy is coming from...

14 was WONDERFULL. Excellent songlist,with most of my favorite characters and songs and it has a easy unlock system.

The only bad thing I experienced was Taisen Mode,because they kept choosing Des-ROW song. Not a bad thing,but it's annoying D:
