modding my old ransai to put lights on it.

Default modding my old ransai to put lights on it.

so I tried to get a hold of Random. he never answered. and I have this blue old wooden ransai pop'n controller.


this pic is 2 yrs old btw.

I tried going from the bottom, but the thing thats on each button that connects the wires to the pcb is securly stuck in there.

Thats a really old model. Are you sure you can get the bulbs in. Send a pic of the bottom of it.

its pretty old school.




I don't know how I can get to the part where I can get to the part thats inside the top of the button in there.
I tried screwing the black washer, but that does not take it off. Isn't there someway to make the white thing safely come off?

DDR Freak :: View topic - GUIDE: The Correct Way to Light Your Homepad

This thread talks about DDR pad lighting but it's the same thing for pop'n. You need a ~12V power supply to light up the bulbs and two diodes to keep the 12V from the power supply and the 3V from the playstation circuit from interfering with each other. None of those drawn schematics are real winners (you need only two diodes, not four) but maybe you can figure it out.

A better lighting diagram is here anyone mod their KOC with Sanwa keys?
