Is the Pop'n 10 bundle (game+minicon 2) still being sold? If so, maybe that's the mix to start with and buying the bundle would be cheaper than getting them separately. If not, get Pon'n 14 for all the reasons mentioned by the other posters.

Actually, I think full remapping has been there since the beginning...? But I'm pretty sure at least from 7 on.

Sorry, more questions... I just bought pop'n 14 and a mini con through the marketplace, and I have some questions about 14:
How hard is it to remap the buttons, is it under options and pretty straight forward?
How many characters are in the game?
Do all songs have 5 button mode?

yes all song has 5 key mode
and the other question you sont need remap the butons ...because you use the default sistem with your mini con

Actually, it is a 3rd party mini con that will need remapping.

It's very easy and straightforward, just go under Options and there's an Option to remap.

Also I'm not sure of the exact character count, but 'a lot'. Probably 50-80

Give that a look. Next to each song is a name contained within parentheses. That's the name of the character associated with the song. That's how many characters are in the game. Personally, I recommend Miku and Minit's.

Don't know how many repeats there are. I know Echidna appears in Psyche Planet-V and IMPLANTATION. Doesn't cosine appear in two songs as well?
