He has an interesting choice of favorites, even citing 11 as his favorite home version.

He did build his own ASC I still can't believe he didn't even touch on the fact that the series has anime and J-music licenses. Plus you CAN use Hi-Speed mods from PnM3 and up (free mode only for 3 & 4, I believe).

Yeah, I totally helped him with that review as well as getting him started with the game.

In fact, I'm in the credits.

Actually a pretty good review. It's good to see Japanese rhythm games not get shat on and called Guitar Hero clones. He was well informed. (I guess it helps that he actually does play the game and built his own controller heh)

Yeah, saw this a few days ago & left a comment on there (same name). Very well informed. Neat that he built his own ASC.

beat'n poopy had good music though. Overall, what a fair and honest review for BEMANI's most friendliest series.

Wow, that was REALLY good~! I liked the humor too [Kitty and Beat'n Groovy..xDD I lol'd out loud.]

And it's nice to see someone who's looking to make the games seem approachable by saying stuff like "Oh, you don't NEED to make an ASC or be like the Japanese guys in the arcades" and such. The hardest part, IMHO, of getting anyone to try a music game is making them not afraid of it. XP

Thanks for posting!

I would still disagree though, and say that you need an ASC to get anywhere with this game.

To get anywhere? Maybe yeah. But he said to enjoy the game. I'm sure a few out there enjoyed the minicon... heck even the dualshock.
