Play-Asia has been out of stock for a while, and I don't really like ebay, and lik-sang's gone too. Anywhere else to get a Pop'n Controller?

When Play-Asia says "Back ordered", they DID order some, right?

The mini controllers have been out of production for some time now. Try eBay, Rinkya (to use Yahoo Japan auctions), or Himeyashop.

If you have 100ish bucks and access to tools and knowhow, Id definately built your own fullsize asc. the minis just make the game into beatmania again. The fullsize was well worth my time and money to get the full experience out of the game. (Plus I couldnt find a mini anywhere)

Wait, so...the mini's are this one? How much smaller is it than the arcade style? And if I don't have the money, is the mini still okay?

I started on a mini. They're fun for a while, but you'll eventually want to upgrade to an ASC. I know people who have official ASCs and are very happy with them, though for the price I didn't think it was worth it; you're better off building your own or going through Ransai, Desktop Arcade, or DJ Dao.

You could probably stretch your hand from end to end of the mini. I've never used one but i've seen videos with them. *Looks around for something to reference with* Maybe 2/3 the size of a keyboard?

It all depends on if you want to play pop'n music the way it was meant to be played, or beatmania with pop'n songs in it and extra buttons. If you can afford the 50-60 bucks plus shipping, save your pennies a little longer and do an ASC, you wont be sorry.

Let's not turn this into an ASC debate thread children. :P

The long and short of it is yes, you will have fun with a mini, but you'll have MORE fun on an ASC, and the switch is inevitable, so you may as well go for the gold right out the gate. Plus an ASC is pretty easy to sell off if you need to, and you can get MOST of your investment back for it.

Well i just bought a mini. now i wish i didn't o well. until i can afford an ASC ill use it. then ill sell the mini.
