Official DJ Dao Pop'n ASC Thread (Now Available!) - Page 30

Anyone here order a Pop'n ASC in the last 2 weeks? I ordered one a week and a half ago, and was told it wouldn't be shipped until their warehouse relocated (this was last Wednesday). The email I got said it would be shipped next week. His warehouse is moved now and some people on the iidx board have had their controllers shipped already. Mine's still on confirm payment status and It's been at least a day since I emailed him with no response. Is this normal? Should I worry or am I being paranoid?

Nah, he's just kinda hit or miss. I didn't get a reply that I even ordered anything from his site. I waited a few days. I then decided to send payment and THEN he confirmed that he received it.

After that he said it was going to ship yesterday. I still don't know if/when I'm going to get my controller. Just keep emailing him...

Yeah, he's been good about keeping me posted on stuff, but it's a miss on keeping the wait short. There was hope that he'd have my controller shipped last week, after he moved his factory, but he emailed me some time ago saying that the olympics were holding stuff up now.

I guess some of his staff does stuff with the olympics?
Edit: Well, whatever happened, I'm now a happy camper! Apparently, the controller's been shipped since the 4th. Still in customs, though, but I think there will be an update on that soon.
Edit the second: Controller showed up on my doorstep this afternoon! Works great, just a crack in the bottom due to the flimsy material. I'll probably replace that with plexiglass later. Thanks, Dao!

Yeah so um my pop'n ASC stopped working while playing fortune tale beat. I opened it up and one wire going to left green came off. So I obviously need to resolder it but I don't want to do it myself, what kinds of places are there that you can bring things to to get it soldered? I'm in Mill Valley, CA if it helps (near San Fransisco)

So... let me get this straight.

From DJDAO's reply to my post on his forum it seemed like he meant the PS2-LPT converter would come with my ASC, there isn't anything special I need to click on?
Don't need to specify it in the order notes?

It won't come with the PS2->LPT adaptor. It's a typo on the site. Same expectation happened to me; I ordered a controller and was surprised to not find one in the box. After e-mailed I found out they only came with the IIDX ASCs and I had to pay extra for one. If you want one, e-mail him beforehand; the cost of one shipped separately is something like $27 USD

So... why does the website only have the item prices in Euros... but the shipping costs in USD?

In any case... ~$300 total cost doesn't seem too bad. I might be getting one of these soon. I mean, the economy sucks, so time for big purchases!

So can anyone who has a DJ Dao ASC with a new type PCB help me out?
I ordered a new type PCB to update my old one. I need someone to tell me where the quick disconnects go, there is black, yellow, white, and red. I don't know where they're supposed to go on my microswitches

another Q

when i order, it gives me an option for the faceplate color and box color, both set to black. all the images i see have that pop'n machine artwork under the buttons, with a white box and yellow sides. does going default replace that with solid black? if not, what is and is not black when set to those defaults? ideally i'd like all black except the art

Crosspost from Djdao forum , and i don't wana read all thoses pages to know if my problem is here :

My Start button ( on the left ) , keep spamming in windows configuration ( i mean , when you get the software where you can see if you press or not a button , and it's like i was pressing / release / pressing / release etc... )

I can't try on PS2 . I unscrew the ASC , and verify all is ok , try to unplug the start button from the PCB , and it still bug as i was pressing it !! I put it on another free thing on the PCB , and it was detected correctly.

I unscrew the PCB too , seems good.

What can i do ?

PS : I use the FP7 Driver cause i got a PEE , maybe a driver problem ? ( windows XP for sure , and my PEE works great ... i even try to use my PS2 / LPT Converter from my PEE , same problem )

Help me
