pop-kun ONLY... I don't play this game to replicate the beatmania experience.
The colors are REALLY helpful for me (need it to be able to react quickly to formations), and I really couldn't play well without them.
I can't imagine how you guys read beat-kun, but I guess you just get used to it like IIDX? | |

I mostly use Beat Pop. But some of the time, its Character Pop. Well, the color pattern seems the same as Beat Pops (1P Color = Bottom Row, 2P Color = Top Row).
For some reason, it seems like I'm playing "Flat" if I use Winter Pop Sanae's Character Pop.

pop-kun for me mostly, i enjoy the colorfulness 
as for beat-kun i don't mind it, however i'm not as good with it so i usually end up back to pop-kun | |
