Pop'n 10 Questions (sorry...)

I looked around...but...yeah I couldn't find some things..
Ok here they are:
1. How many hours was it till I unlock stuff?
2. Will it say a message when I do actually unlock things...?
3. I remember hearing it was like...5 hours or something to start unlocking songs...do I get them all at once? those songs..or is it like one by one..
4.What characters are unlockable? I want Roku

But I don't think hes in this one..
5. I just got the game two days ago and the hardest level of song I can do is a 15...am I progressing ok?

BTW Thanks a lot to everyone who helped me in all my other topics asking annoying questions like these :P

p.s. this game owns hard and it was worth the money I spent and I plan to order #9 very soon...

PM Dream is your friend. Just run it through your favorite web translator and look for the section titled Time Release.

Nope, I don't beleive roku is on there.

I don't really think there is a wrong way to progress. There are just some people who catch on faster then others. Just keep practicing and go at your own pace and you'll be passing EX's eventually.

i unlocked 100% in popn 10 useing the time-unlock-thingy, dont remember quite but i think u will have like 95% after 7 hours. Meaning every song and all characters but after 9 hours u get the last few ex-songs.

So if u have a turbo controller just keep the "red button" pressed down and activate the turbo funktion, and let the game play free songs for 9 hours and u'll have 100% thats the way i did it.

Yes, Babelfish works as does Google. They both translate "Time Release" as "Timely Lease" but it's pretty obvious as to what it is supposed to be. Most of it reads like gibberish, but with a little bit of patience, you should be able to get the gist of it.

There is also Excite Japan that has a pretty good translation tool.

2. Will it say a message when I do actually unlock things...? No, however you can always check the Secret section in Records.
3. I remember hearing it was like...4 hours or something to start unlocking songs...do I get them all at once? The unlocks are like in groups. Here's the complete list
4 hours= Hidden Options
5 hours= Hidden AC songs
6 hours= Hidden Pop'n GB songs
7 hours= Hidden CS songs
7.5 hours= Other Hidden Characters
8 hours= Hidden Courses
8.5 hours= Hidden ee'mall songs
9 hours= Unlock all Exs
4.What characters are unlockable? I want Roku But I don't think hes in this one..
I honestly dont know who Roku is, sorry.

But when you unlock a song, you unlock the song's character too. This doesnt apply to the extra characters you get after 7.5 hours.

Yeah, I started playing Pop'n in November and I can only do a 26 at best.

Also to note, Did you remember to turn off the "Wish on a star" unlock method?

On that site, it shows some button commands also. Using Babelfish to translate, it says you input these at the logo screen where it says Press Start Button. Im guessing you can unlock songs that way also?

Yes, but the content only stays unlocked through one Arcade mode session, not permanently.

Three options:
1. Go into Expert mode, fail the first song of the first course, then hammer the red button as fast as you can on the mini-game. This worked well for me.

2. Go into the mini-game and nail all three orange bars. You unlock evertyhing at once (save for maybe the Study Land character; not sure on her).

3. Do the time unlock deal. It's the third or fourth option from the top (I believe, though it has been a couple of years).

yeah I made sure to do that...and the other day I unlocked my options...I was so pumped I played another hour straight to get the first songs..and wow

DDR Megamix is awesome..

as well as some others but...
anyhoo the hardest song I can do is...seisyun (sp?) Punk...^_^
and next to that is that Des-Row song...a 23 I think..

I'm not completely sure but I always do it just in case. It's the first on/off option after the "Select a default character" option.
