pop'n 9 time unlock system

Okay was looking through the forums and didn't really specifically say how to turn this on. I was wondering do I just turn off the gambler z to start the time unlock?

Yup.
Also,if you want to "speed" the process a little bit,play Battle Mode and just wait until the songs end.

Speaking of unlocks, does pop'n cafe affect the unlock system at all? What does it even do?

Pop'n Cafe can be used when you have the time unlock mode on.
When you get a number of stars (I think it was like 300 or something) you unlock Cup-kun as a character.

I was kinda wondering myself what pop'n cafe did. I had turned it off not even knowing what it does. Lol I better turn that back on then.

What do you mean? Just sit and play the P1 side while the unplayed P2 side fails?

(I am wanting to do the time unlock too - fucking Gambler Z)

That's what it sounded like to me. I haven't actually tried it out yet. I'll do anything if it gets me out of playing Gambler Z. It's very very very very annoying.... but I'm sure you know that by now.

Yeah,pick a song and play it if you want. Or you can also watch TV while the song is on (that's what I did :P)

Okay, I've been considering getting Pop'n 9 (mostly just for Force and Roku) and I was wondering:

1. How long would it take to obtain Force and "Dynamic! Atomic! S.C.B.G"? Or am I lucky and he's like a character who's already available?
2. What's with this time unlock junk I keep hearing about? I really don't understand it at all.

well I forgot If the songs are already there from the start even though I have the damn game lol.

Time unlock is basically you play for hours and hours to unlock the songs instead of playing the little mini game at the end of a challenge mode in arcade. Everyone says its recommend for this game unless you really want to do the gambler Z mini game which most people don't like but if your up for it, then it takes a little while I suppose.

I can corroborate this - yes, it's part of the default songlist.
