Default Pop'n ASC trouble...

Okay, so I built my ASC a few weeks back and tested it out with IIDX and it worked fine. I then recently bought an import and used my swap magic to get it up and running. But when I plugged in my controller it would "flip" through the menus as if the blue button was being held down. Sure enough, when I started playing a song I realized that the left green and left blue buttons were stuck. I'm pretty sure I shorted out the left, right, and down contacts... any idea what the problem is? Oh yeah, and the controller doesn't have analog sticks

edit: oh, and none of the other buttons are in the places they should be in when I press them. (i.e. I press red and it thinks blue)

What brand of controller did you use. Not all Circuit boards work correctly when DLR are shorted. I went through 3 or 4 trying to find one for my PopnASC

I'm using a PSX digital controller, ya know, the one that's a sort of murky grayish color.

Edit: Just found out that it doesn't work with IIDX anymore =( something must of happened to it but I don't know what. Opened it up and nothing seemed to be wrong. So the brand of controller is definitely not the problem cuz it worked before...

Try re-soldering the left, down, and right, if that doesn't work look for a short circuit on the board (like if your solder touches 2 circuits)

wow... I just tried my controller on IIDX again and apparently, everything has been flipped upside down. If I play with the controller upside down, the buttons are in the right place. How'd it get flipped? GRRR! It worked for a while! I just don't want to have to re-solder everything.
