Pop'n Music 9 & 10 Unlock system

Can someone please tell me how to unlock songs in pop'n 9 and 10.

in 9 you play a board game staring Anime Hero Z! For each song played (usually 3-4) you roll dice. the last dice is a multipler.

so...
you play 3 songs and get the EX stage.
so you roll 3 dices 1-6..
2,6,3 and the fourth dice is a multipler (x4)
2+6+3 = 11 x 4 = 44 spaces!
you move 44 spaces. Along the way treasures appear some with the unlockables, some with coins its all random.

This is basing off of 9CS, unless 9 AC was different than 9 CS.

10s unlock system is a roullette sorta deal.
I just turned off Unlock on 10 and did the song unlocks via time. haha..

I just got 10 and I can't read kanji. What exactly do I aim for with the roulette?

Just unlock songs by time. Because unlock system for 10 isn't that good.

I think the pinkish-red icons. Blue got you nothing. If you get all gold, though, you unlock everything, but that's rare and hard to get.

But yeah, 9 & 10 take forever to unlock, so you either have to cheat (which is repetitive on its own), or time unlock. Not sure if time unlock nabs you all the EXs you have to play, but there is a code to get them (still have to play them through though). Once you get Cup-kun in 9 CS, you got everything.

For 9 you gotta take a specific path for each song or else you'll be running around in that dungeon forever

Nostalgic- Up, Left, Up, Right
Sympathy Long- Up, Left, Up, Down
Hi-TenK Mix- Up, Right, Up, Down
Energy Rock- Up, Right, Up, Up
Oi Punk O- Down, Down, Left, Right
Colors- Down, Down, Left, Down

It's been a long time since I played 9, hope these help!

if i recall, I unlocked colors from entering upward. I might be wacky though.

This is helpful though. I'm still trying to unlock all of 9 =(

Oh yeah, 10 was the first to automatically unlock the EXs once you unlocked everything else. It was also the last I think where you had to unlock EXs for old songs.

In fact a bunch of the Gambler Z bosses unlock the EXs for songs. The last thing you unlock in the minigame (after you've gone through everything else) is Warudoc, Hell 9, Marathon Mode, and the Hyper & EX to Anime Hero R.

For that roulette game in Pop'n 10, I just wailed on the red button as fast as I could. It seems to work better than actually aiming for something. ;p

So im tempted to get a turbo ps2 controller just to unlock these games. As far as timed unlocks go, You dont need to be in arcade mode do you? and you dont need to pass the songs right?

Nope. I finished 9 CS just by choosing random songs on Free Play and changing the TV or leaving the room.
