Pop'n Music 9 EX unlocks...

So...I've gotta do Challenge Mode to unlock EXes, yet when I get an EX stage, most of the songs aren't even available to pick. I know from Marathon Mode that there're 60~ some EXes out of about 110, and I definitely haven't filled up over half the list.

Beyond that, I have a single Hyper missing, "Bossa". The only reason I say this is because, in Free Mode, all the other greyed out Hypers have a row of Cup-kuns where their name would be, but Bossa's does not.

Frankly, I'm just confused.

besides playing challenge mode, you can also unlock EXs in pop'n 9 by playing thru the gamblerz dungeon that appears after you complete a game. It's really tedious, but there's a guide on gamefaqs that will help you along.

Bossa does not have a hyper.

I've already completed Gambler De Z.

So...I looked at it again, and I was in error. There're actually 3 songs I'm missing. The slots are:

2 above Bossa
1 above Bossa
2 below Bossa

Any idea what these are?

If I'm not mistaken, you should have everything, if you've completed Gambler de Z. Have you already encountered Warui Doc?

if no one else has by tomorrow night, ill check for you (i cant til then)
If its like popn 11 (which im currently unlocking), it wont let you unlock some of the EXs until you have completely finished the regular unlock system

Here's the code to play all the EX songs (possibly barring the Gambler de Z unlocks) １２３４６４７８６. Play till the end of each to unlock.

I believe the Gambler EXs you still have to play.

Okay, so, as it turns out, I do have all the EXes (I just can't count...). However, I'm still missing 3 songs. Are there any special unlocks in Pop'n 9? Like playing a song with a certain character?

If you've run through Gambler de Z, you should have all the songs unlocked. However, songs in 9 will NOT unlock in Free mode unless you play them in Arcade or Challenge mode first, and this counts for both 9-line and challenge difficulties.

Also don't forget to use the code listed earlier to unlock the Long version EXes like Misty Long and Hip Rock Long, because I forget how to get them normally. :P

are you talking about on the song wheel? if so, the songs are
[jazzy] get on that train, [positive] candy blue, and [motors]

however, i cant see any reason that you would have everything else but these, so im thinking Dewgy is right, and you just havent played them in arcade mode or something


edit: also, are they codes to let you play the EXs on the other games too? it would be really handy for 8, and also nice for 11, since im tired of waiting for them all to unlock and some of them i cant play as EX stage either

8 doesn't have an EX unlock code, sadly; and I think 11's codes are for unlock groups, and the EXes need every code to be inputted. However I recall there being a lot left still locked if you just used the codes, so it's more worthwhile to just unlock it normally.
