Also, thank you FOXY!
EDIT: Try playing with Whitepopkun and Chara-pop (Chara-pop w/hid/sud/s-ran), because it helps you read patterns and also looks impressive, quite unlike beat-pop. Check vidgoogle for a video I made of Soft Rock Long Hyper on Iroha with me passing a Chara-pop/Hid-Sud/S-Ran combo of mods :3 Just search for my username, should be there.

What are the aspects of the songs in PnM? Like speed changers, insane patterns.... And how to train up to tackle them? Like playing Violently Car to train up on speed changers? Thanks!

Um, there are only really four or five, and it's not like IIDX where you will suck at one song and be good at another; very few charts are gay enough to help one player and hurt another in pop'n.
1. HS reading: Arctures and Kappa have this down, can read 215 BPM at HS4, 180 at HS5, 350 at HS3, &c.
2. Jackhammers: Seems that qkumbr and I may be good at this, play songs like Cyber Rockabilly EX and consistently 97k it, or play CHEER EX or Kids' March (is that the song from 7?) EX. Deals with hitting the same note very quickly
3. Scales/16ths: I think FOXY and Krazy have this down, playing Naniwa Hero EX and getting like 95k, Cyber Gagaku EX 96k for FOXY. Just a bunch of 16th scales and stuff all over the song, sometimes things like left-handed one-handed rolls (Grunge-Des EX).
4. Chords: Seems like an "acquired skill" to me, Kappa seems to be good at these. Just reading 5 and 6 button chords at fast speeds, like in Flow Beat and all D-Crew songs.
5. "Impossible" Chords: FOXY seems the best at this so far, getting shitty chords like 2-5-9 or 1-5-6-7-9 and actually hitting them somehow, but these chords basically show up in older songs, 42s and 43s, and while playing on random and s-random.

And I'd say I'm quite talented in the scales dept. By far my favorite aspect of IIDX and Pop'n are songs with fun scales (naniwa hero, pretty miyabi, sympathy 3).

Kappa, or maybe Kaze, has the best timing.
Foxy is the best at jackhammers.
Arct is good at scales, but I think just about anyone at the 41+ level is... I know Crono was able to nail the shit out of Classic 10 EX nonrandom, though, so maybe he'd be the best?
I am pretty good at chords (I've 100Kd most chord-heavy 39s and Flow Beat), but again, most people at my skill level are too. Foxy is probably the best at nasty S-Random type chords, but it's hard to say.
As far as drumrolls go, I am good at the ones in stuff like Oi 0, Rinsei, and Japameta, but I tend to be pretty bad at Grunge-Des (two button) type rolls. Ryan is still probably the best at these, though.

Scales and chords are really not too different for most people at that level, either, but I know I suck at chords, since it's tough for me to 95k Flow Beat EX and everyone else seems to be 98king it like every time. Maybe I just need to play it more :< I'm fine at stuff like UK Hit Charts EX....
Does Crono still play? I know he was extremely good when he last was active.
I think K.XX (that guy on vidgoogle with the K.[character][character] name) is probably the best at playing s-random on a mini, considering the things they (m/f?) did on the videos X_X I think Sanae-chan is K.XX, but I can't really say yet, I'd have to ask that person.
Kappa plays with cools. Kaze, from what I have seen, doesn't really that much. Maybe if they did I'd know the difference, but they seem really similar score-wise to me, too.

Example: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...47&q=otaku1313
Jackhammers are when you have to press a single button or a chord very fast (like in Classic 8 EX, also a lot of the older songs have them), usually at the speed of 16th notes. The button is the same button in every note in the jackhammer, but you have to hit it very fast.
Example: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...40&q=otaku1313

It will all help with comprehension and also with coordination, since there are bound to be several BS chords in any given random.

Like House EX.
AHAHAHA...ahem. Anyway, that's about 12 levels above where I am, so I'm not too worried about that.
So is there any trick to reading absurdly fast/huge clusters of notes other than high-speed? I've tried toweling, but that only works on really slow stuff like Jig EX.

I'd personally slow it down in training mode, up the HS (if you want) and just practice the whole song over and over, making it faster and bringing the HS down to normal as you go. Japameta on 10 is a good song to learn to read clusters in, if you're to the point where you can pass, or are close to passing, the Hyper.

Training mode helps as well, gets you situated with the hand positions and movements at a slower speed.
