Every decent arcade in pretty much any prefecture in japan has pop'n, but if you're in the middle of like the chuugoku region you might have trouble finding iidx. So they still release iidx at home. Also, iidx can be played on a 50 dollar controller, but the experience given by cheap pop'n controllers is subpar. Each game only sold like 30,000 copies anyway, that's only 1.5 million usd, I don't really know if you can develop, print, and market a game for that little return.

I remember there was this arcade I ran into in the middle of nowhere in Okinawa that had only like Pop'n 8 and GF/DM 10th or something but had a full Empress machine. Quote:

I guess they shouldn't need to continue making DDR games, what with them being common and all. You can't possibly sell units of popular arcade games on a home console. Quote: |

| And even with the inadequate controller, the still manage to sell more units than a typical CS game.
My guess is that Konami is allergic to revenues from their Bemani home games.

anywaiz, i'm happy about this release. very interested to see how it's going to come out. even better would be if it had a leveling system like DJMAX and you could unlock characters and songs and whatnot. not really asking for a djmax clone, but somethin' like it would be neat.

I've been to several arcades that had more than one Pop'n cabinet and either 1 IIDX or none. One that I went to in Shinjuku actually had 3 pop'n cabs (all current mix) and 1 IIDX. Another in Hiroshima had 2 Pop'n cabs and no IIDX machine. One in Nagoya had 3 Pop'n machines and 1 IIDX. An another in Kyoto had 2 Pop'n machines and 1 of each other Bemani. Guess it depends on location? But I guess I've never really had a problem finding Pop'n, in fact I'd say in certain arcades they really don't need 3 cabs.

...Something like that.

*Forces to play the songs/chart I don't like if having the game...lol*
Still looking forward, but not as crazy as the arcade/PS2 games..
