Dao ASC ==adaptor==> PSP ==component cable/TV out==> TV

There'll be lag of some sort in that equation, I'm sure.

On top of that the charts certainly won't be intended for use with an ASC. If there is, indeed, a 9k mode, have fun hitting 1-5-9 chords :3

All I know is i'm finally breaking down and buying a psp, pretty much just for this game. For max enjoyment I for one won't listen to any mix before the CS is released, so i'm actually kinda sorta excited about this. Ya gotta admit it's better than no Adventure at all

The DualShock port on the PSP is hardwired and shouldn't introduce any lag (outside of what any controller for any console would introduce). As for outputting video to a television, it depends on the PSP itself, so I really don't know how adept it is at the job. Now that I research into, perhaps not very, as they forced the PSP-2000 into component to avoid lag issues (which means that issues are present in the first place).

And I didn't consider the charts. Even if they don't have 1-5-9 spreads, the charts would still probably suck on a ASC. Blast you for blowing any merit the idea had. Blast you.

As far as I know, 3, 5, 7, and 9 button modes have been confirmed.

I can't even translate this. Something about "Adventure" and "isn't even that fucking amazing" being in the same sentence disturbs me.

Apparently Dual Shock 3s are usable with the PSPgo via Bluetooth, not that it's much better. Whatever, this is better than nothing and maybe we will get the real game one day.

So you don't like good music or fun charts, what else is new

why? it was a certainly good game with a bunch of fun songs but it's pretty overrated

party had a lot of remixes and crossovers but most of them were pretty solid fun too so it's kind of strange that people bash it so hard when it wasn't that much worse of an experience

adventure had the much better interface, though

Party is really good, probably the 2nd best pop'n game. But Adventure was still the best.

Seriously? I always pick Adventure songs because they're really awesome! Adventure songs are probably my most played songs on 17 AC.(even more so than the 17 songs)

I already have a PSP so I'm going to pick the game up anyway, but I'd rather have a new PS2 CS game.

I don't really like most of the charts on Party, although there are a few good ones. Adventure in particular had much more fun songs in the 40 and above range.

Yeah I agree with this, the charts for a lot of the party songs are pretty meh.

I mean, I really like CN3 musically, but the chart is dumb, and that's just one example.

I think a lot of the 15 songs have interesting charts, like chiteitanken and folklore.

Generally in my mind I split pop'n songs into three kinds of charts: gimmick, technical, combo/endurance

So for example, a gimmick song would be drmnfry EX.
Technical would be something that's not necessarily tiring but is very hard to read or has weird note patterns, I suppose one that would fit well here would be Vivid EX.
Lastly, I classify endurance charts are charts that are basically easy as hell to time and are all about getting maximum combo (blind justice EX, hiprock 4 EX)

According to rmz at SSS the release date has been announced- January 14th. A little sooner than I expected, but still plenty of time to find me a cheap used psp.
