But serious, I still don't see how this can be similar to the disaster that is Beat'n Groovy. I mean if its that easy to hit the other buttons, wouldn't konami do something to remedy it? Like make the timing like DDR like you can hit it when the note is nowhere near the table and it wont register a bad?

Konami has announced some of the items you will get if you order the "special set" of Pop'n Music.

First off, these little books. One if a collection of drawings from the design team. The other three consist of a calender, a schedule planner, and a general notebook.

Next is this pen case, which the site explains can also be used as a pouch.

Also, a bit of sad news for those ordering the special set. It seems like the other special item, some charms based on the characters in the game, is having to be delayed and people will apparently be receiving those charms as a seperate package later next month. Your other items (The Pop'n Music and the two items above), will be shipped on the sale date though.

It might turn out to be like the Samba de Amigo Wii-port with iffy shake-sensoring, but I'm not expecting this game to have super-difficult songs in it or strict timing.

Is the Space Dog license thing a mistake or a sign of ownership dispute/licensing troubles? Not like we've haven't gone through enough of that recently...

I was thinking the same thing. Both are great music games that got Wii-ports that use the Wiimote/Nunchuk instead of their original peripherals & thus suffer because the developer didn't take the time to perfect the controls....

Konami has apparently released some new screens for the US version of Pop'n Music

WorthPlaying - Xbox 360 (X360) , PlayStation 3 (PS3), Nintendo Wii, Xbox, PlayStation 2 (PS2), GameCube (NGC), PSP, Nintendo DS (NDS), GBA, Windows PC - All about games !

Nothing exciting really.

"challange mode"?

Unless it means a mode to use Komas in, then there might even be a hard difficulty in this. that'd be rad.

Kid in red apparently has the right idea.

Serious, What is going on with mimis arms in these videos. Either the control is really buggy or the person playing was kinda mashing around. I really hope the controlls aren't this screwy.

Again, I say, It could be a lot worse.

The one is bold is efficiently that answer. (I mean, imagine you trying to go crazy with the controller... And apply to Mimi/Nyami/your character. ^^; )

I still want to try it, but I don't own a Wii. :< (Too poor to get one.)

Impressions of the game so far

-Wii controls are fun, but it can be really hard to time/hit the right buttons (especially on the left side)

-There are only three speed mod options: "Normal, Fast, and Really Fast"

-At least two difficulties available. When you 100% clear a song on "standard", it unlocks that song's "challenge" chart.

Videos coming shortly.
