What is up with that song Pop'n Taisou. Is there some inside joke I'm missing or something? That song makes absolutely no sense. I find it amusing because it's so ridiculous, but I'm always left utterly confused. What is going on there?

It's the Pop'n Work Out. It's about exercising and it features Butapunch and Hideo Suwa as the characters.

It also parodies the Radio Taisou programs in Japan. It's usually mini-exercise programs for the elderly.

The best part of pop'n taisou is when it goes:

Translated it's 1, 2 ,3, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 3, 5, 7, 3

Hahaha... I actually used to hate this song with some sort of a burning passion, and I only played it to show people how weird it was. But, in the course of doing so, I now like it a lot. The Hyper chart is fun, too.
