Is it possible to play versus with 5keys / 9keys on CS versions?

Well, topic title. Is it possible for me to play against a friend, both using 5 buttons or 9 buttons in the CS versions of Pop'n'Music? I have Iroha here and I can't seem to find a way to do this T_T help please >.> and thanks in advance ^^.

There's only one pop'n that uses two controllers simultaneously.

The only vs. mode in the current series is the 3 button Battle mode.

I think it was pop'n 7 that had a vs. mode that allowed you to use two contorllers.

that's right, pop'n music 7 let you battle 2 players simutaneuously, using 18 buttons! lol. in recent pop'ns, this is not an option, however, battle mode (6 buttons) is possible.
in AC, you can still battle you and 2 others for a network battle in 9 button mode.

Any reason why the 2 player/2 controllers in pop'n 7 was nixed? It may have been a little buggy in the programming but it was fun.

Think it's gone mostly because not many people have 2 controllers, and that's pretty much it. I think this feature will probably be revived in the future in the form of a network mode.

PROTIP: You can use two controllers for battle mode. It won't be any different, though.
