Question(s) about CS songs.

Yeah, I've been playing pop'n for about a year and a half on console versions. It wasn't until about 4 months ago until I was able to play on an arcade machine and I was very happy that I actually could.

On my first try, I attempted to look for some of my favorite songs and characters such as Ophelia from Time Travel / Rapunzel and A. Michel from BeatRock 3 / Days, but I couldn't find them. The only explanation I could think was "Oh, maybe this has something to do with console only songs." I didn't have pop'n music 11 and I didn't start playing until 12 came out, so I wasn't exactly sure about those two. Not to mention I never really believed that they made songs exclusively for the console versions.

This is probably what sealed it for me. We have pop'n 15, and as I was looking through the new songs, I saw Emotional and I think Sympathy 3, which I know were out a long time ago.

So I wanted to ask

How many cs songs at a time do they add to AC versions? Is there any sort of reasoning behind which songs that they choose for them (like how people vote for songs for pop'n request)? Lastly, I'm pretty sure I saw Time Travel in 16 and i'm pretty sure it's a cs song. Would there be any chance that it's in 17 as well?

The way it is supposed to work is 3 versions below. For example, Pop'n 16 PARTY added Jewelry Girl, which is a CS exclusive that was new on 13 Carnival. It also added Kanransha, which is also from 13 Carnival (there are many more, but these are just popular examples). Pop'n 17 THE MOVIE will bring over songs which were exclusive to 14 CS, since 17-3 = 14.
However, sometimes songs don't get brought over / get delayed or sometimes they get brought over and removed later.

Ophelia and A. Michale got on 16 Party. You have a mix too early =(

Usually they add the most popular songs from each CS release as it goes. 15 started adding some of 12s CS songs, 16 started added some of 13s cs songs, and 17 will be adding some 14 cs songs (only one confirmed right now though). Also they add scattered songs from older CS games in each version as well. No clue how pop'n 18 will do this. no new cs game :/

I guess the main factor is popularity. I think 16 had a billion different polls for the selection of stuff in the game, characters used, etc. because it was the 10th anniversary.

I'm not sure why your arcade won't upgrade as to upgrade from 15>16 is about 120~ dollars. You just need the HDD.
