So, this was never supposed to be released, on this forum, least of all places, but, I gave in and decided to post it.

The funny thing with this theme is that I'd get moderately far with it and then lose all my progress in a crash. I gave a copy to shakesoda, and he kept sending it to me every time my laptop died.

Nevertheless, I finished the theme a month or so ago, and to be honest, it was quite ugly.

So, I'm going back to the poor thing and revamping it.

I guess you guys get the new pretty DOD.

Lucky you.

I'm currently revamping it. So don't post asking for the theme. And no, I'm not sending the original.

I think I should be done with this little project a little time after I release the beta to D||W.

So there it is. My first ever public beta. Of course, there are going to be errors. I know the size of my pictures will give your StepMania errors. But this is just a beta, right? I don't really care right now. The next release shouldn't have any issues with graphic size.

After much consideration, I'll most likely be remaking the SelectMusic screen completely.

But, that won't be until much later.

k// would be happy to hear that I'm going to change the banner back to it's original size and I've went back to the monochrome look.

Nevertheless, theme progression is at a standstill. You can thank work and a periodic lack of internet for that.

[[edit]]Okay, I've tried it. Overall it's quite nice, no problems with the graphics that I got, the only things I can criticise are:
-Song menu (you've acknowledged this already): not bad, actually quite nice, but maybe make the banner smaller at least - I found it too dominating.

-Step rating (perfect, great, good etc.): It's quite an original method (well, I've never seen it done before!), so kudos to you for that, and I'm actually quite fond of it, but I found them much too big, and they covered the arrows up too much - too distracting! It would be nice if you coloured them even slightly, to better differentiate between them (but that's just a personal aesthetics preference), and either shrink them or hide them behind the arrows.

Feel free to bitch at me if this isn't what you wanted from posting this up~ and I look forward to seeing further builds of this!

Thanks for the review and your inputs. About the Judgment smilies, I agree, I didn't put too much effort into them, just a rough skeleton. So that's probably why they look like crap right now. I've already added color to them, and as for the size, I see what you mean. I'll shrink them and try it out.

And, I don't mind negative comments. I see them as...constructive criticism. I take everyone's complaints into consideration, but, that doesn't always mean I'll change the subject that is under critique.
