Each letter, the underline, both parts of the BG, they're all different layers. This allows for some pretty interesting effects which Ive used a few times over.
With DDR Forever I ended up using about 10% BGA Textures. With Westfest its currently hovering around 75%. Marc and I are doing some of the highest level of animation possible with 3.9.
