How do you make a theme?

I want to make a theme for StepMania, but have no clue how to start or where to start. How would you do this?

Easiest way to do this, is look at the original graphics, make a variation, name it the same, and replace it.

Also, if you want to reposition some things, hopefully you know x and y.

x = up/down (lower is down) (i think?)
y = left/right

of course, I don't remember so this might be wrong.
just mess around with the metrics in another default, until you get the hang of it.
