Default [Ideas]Percentage Lifebar & Monochome/Slowdown Fail

OK, these are some ideas that I thought, and I thought I would share it with the theming community since well, I know squat on how to make a truly unique theme.

Percentage Lifebar
---------------------------------
This is self-expanitory. No life "bar", per se, but instead a life "percentage", which tells you how much life you have left in percent.

Monochrome/Slowdown Fail
---------------------------------
I saw this on Master of Champions, when Billy Matsumoto was Juggling while playing DDR. You see, when ever he got a miss, ABC made it look like the screen would turn monochrome and every action slowed to a crawl. Now in real gameplay this would be a bad idea, but as a Fail screen this would look really cool. Something similar was implemented in DDR Ultramix 3, except the screen would turn monoblue instead of monochrome. Video Example, watch whenever he misses

So? What do you guys think? Are these good ideas?

That would screw people up badly. Say you miss one, and don't expect the random slowdown. You miss the next one, and so forth untill you fail.

Can't really do that with stepmania yet but it's an interesting idea..

Well, this is only considering the first time you'd encounter the effect, after a few times you'd recognize what's happening and adjust accordingly (like with bpm slow downs). Although if the idea is going to work in versus it would have to give a sound effect and then slow down as to not throw off the other player too much.

I also like the percentage idea for the life bar, even with the new metrics for the life bar in 4 this could prove just as interesting.

No no no no no you all are interpreting it wrong. He wants the song to fail like that, not do that with each mistep. Notice even he said that it was a bad idea during gameplay...

Now it wouldn't be hard to do that. I think a full one color thing with a diffusealpha or similar command when you fail would do the trick, but for slowing down the arrows... I have no idea how that would happen. If not, it would be a nice effect.
