Total Tokens: 68.87 Donate Tokens | Problem with themes on OSX? I have recently switched from using a PC to a Mac, and when I redownloaded my themes, for some reason they don't load properly. They load menus, but no images or sounds.
When I go to open the actual theme folders, it says that I don't have permission to view contents of the folders, even though I am on the admin account.
I apologize if this is an unnecessary topic, but if anyone else with experience using StepMania on a Mac has any advice, could you please give me a few tips? Either here or in IM, that'd be great.
Thank you! | |

Thank you! | Crud. O_o Coming from a Mac user, I've NEVER had a problem like that.
My best bet would be to redownload the themes and then add them to your theme folder. Something could've gotten corrupted in the transfer, which I wouldn't be surprised if something did, so that may be why they're acting all funky.

I'm going to redownload StepMania itself as well as the themes and see if that helps any. o.O
Edit: Nope... Same errors.

I'm going to assume you don't know your way around a terminal, do you?

I do remember setting up WINE a while ago using Terminal, and having to set up a Root admin account.. By chance would that play any effect as to why I have no permissions?
( To be honest I really have much more experience with Windows as I've taken a repair and networking class for two years, decided to switch to Mac so I'm a n00b when it comes to these things. :> )

In any case, try running that and see if it fixes anything.

down at the bottom of the window, there should be a tab for sharing and permissions. change them to read & write.
alternatively you can chmod 777 using the terminal, but this way is easier
