updates:

I changed the system sounds (musicwheel change, titlemenuchange, etc.) to IIDX sounds. I did this just to get me an Idea closer to the cool IIDX Interfaces. This will not be a IIDX Theme, but like one. (I will change the sound files, so it will be more original).

Almost everything will be in 2070 Polyester font. (yeah party like its 2001).

I need ideas for the Select Style, Select Music, Select Difficulty, Player Evaluation theme. ie. what looks cool for a rave theme. (I seen K-eternal themes, Cyberia Style, Cobaltlite etc, but I still need ideas XD).

hokay you need a lot of practice, but everyone's gotta start somewhere, so don't take that the wrong way

first off, try varying the fonts a bit more; i know you want to keep solidarity by using a single font everywhere but that loses readability and ends up looking shoddy

move the two words in your logo closer vertically because it looks like one of them is an afterthought

the title screen bg is surprisingly solid and you should try to make the menu bg look more like that

also try using more subtle gradients, not the really heavy ones you've got; what i like to do is set up a heavy gradient and then change its opacity to like 10% or 20% which gives a very nice effect

for the rest, go by instinct and don't be afraid to crank out something that might suck, because that's all part of getting better

hey K.
I'm a big fan of your themes. (my favorite is XI, the IIDX13 Distorted one). in that theme I respect your idea for being creative making IIDX based themes, (Without using rips, music, and system sounds "except for IIDX Red title screen :P" ). even though the system sounds make it sound better. (don't take it the wrong way. I understand).

my hope is to have it 100% creative (meaning using no rips, system sounds, or anything from any other game).

well gonna have fun with this. thats why I make sm themes.

does anyone know how to make japanese font charsets? im tired of looking at the default Japanese charsets.

yes but you don't actually want to because it is incredibly tedious

the last few posts are true but there is this which you will need the gimp for.

it takes a lot of tweaking stuff (font metrics) to get it to work, though.

That script will generate FULL charsets, like the ones in Pop*Candy or Cyberia Style 4?

okay noob question: how do I use this script? lol I don't even know what language this is.

you should just need an install of python and the gimp 2.6.x, I haven't done it on windows so it might not be so simple.

note that this script is definitely not for beginners as the metrics don't work right "out of the box"
