[Release] -for SM4 only- 4Mod

Well, you've all been complaining about the lack of Stepmania 4 themes right? Well, I've got one I've been working on. I just thought the temporary default theme was too ugly looking, so I decided to make some modifications to it to make it look better...and then came 4Mod!

If you've been on Bemanistyle, you may have seen the thread about it, but now that BMS 7 is here and everything else is gone...I've got some reposting to do!

For RC1, I updated it to work on the new build (Assuming there are major changes between the old build and this new build), and I decided to fool around with the metrics a little!

Release Notes from Alpha 205 to RC1:
- Now built off SM4 CVS 20060613 build default theme, so that means:
-- New Music by KeeL (that sounds a bit like Vertex^2 in some places)
-- ITG style plus and minus signs next to each hit
-- Finally, a working results screen transition
-- New screen in between song selection and gameplay

-Actual Changes to 4Mod
-- New Gameplay Screen style
-- New judgement labels, and they are now IIDX style (Fantastic, Flashing Great, Great, Good, Bad, Poor)
-- Just Great now flashes
-- Fantastic now has a rainbow effect
-- All judgement labels have shadows now (the screenshot is just a bit older)
-- Cleaned up design on Options Screen
-- Wipes now change color depending on the situation, Green for passing, Red for failing, and Blue for regular transitions
-- I forgot to change Go back to its new graphic from the older build
-- IIDX Red style "Clear" and "Fail" graphics (I know the new Clear graphic kinda complains a little, but it's no harm!). I might modify the Clear graphic to say "CLEARED" instead of "CLEAR" and to be green or yellow in a later build

Just released a new version of 4Mod, RC 1.5, made some improvements, added k//eternal's font, everything else, blah blah blah!

But that's the point of 4Mod, it's supposed to make the default theme for SM4 look better! You didn't complain about Foonmod, what's the difference?

Foonmix was overrated, btw.

Well it does look nice. But only in the screenshots. And PLEASE change the system zero stuff so that the theme doesn't look grainy and ugly.

Just Great now flashes: <--- that mean that the great combo label can shine like marvelous? how can i do that?

1. I copied and pasted some metrics for W1 down to W2 and changed the metrics for W1 to have a rainbow instead of a flash. Also technically metrics wise, Flashing Great is "Perfect" or "Excellent"

2. The wipes I refer to are the Stars (you know, those transitions when you select a song, or pass or fail a song.) I just modified the metrics individually to point to different folders of graphics.

Is there any chance that you'll update this to work with the latest CVS?

I am very sorry that I BUMPED this old thread, I didn't know it was that old. And with only one theme (NAKET Coder Revolution: Bleeding Heart Liberal) out there that supports the latest Stepmania 4 CVS release I don't see any big deal as to why there aren't any other themes out there.

To be honest, I am sick and tired of the default theme.

The big deal is that most themers are lazy and won't learn how to theme for SM4.

I don't know, but Foonmod was a completely terrible project. The one point it had going for it was that you could get the theme without downloading a tonload of subpar simfiles.
