Last night I told Midiman not to fight a war he can't win or something (he had been explaining his game to me which would've had weird shit), so I decided to actually fight a war and here's what I did.

Keep in mind there was only one source code mod done for this and it was to get access to the GroupBanner function in Banner.

Groups.

Yes it will transform well.

And it can also look like DDR Universe if you try hard enough.

If I release the code, it'll only be when I feel it's perfected.

Ah yes, the banner wheel. IIRC it was also implemented in 3.9+ and keeps begging to be used (but I don't really have a good implementation for it).

2) ^ and I haven't been able to get the musicwheel to spin like that.
3) fairly easy, but would need some changes to the musicwheel code (3.9 didn't have the draworder issues, so I don't imagine finding what to change for that would be too hard)

yup welcome to stepmania theming
where it doesn't matter if you make amazing shit that people have had to source hack before, only if it will be used in a theme by a popular themer.

also that's part of why i'm not releasing the code at the moment.
anyone who knows what I've been using recently (shakesoda for example) can do what I just did.

Question to everyone:

Since this is not possible should i change my Universe theme from 3.9 to 4.0? because if we are now possible to do this it will be way simpler for me to create the Universe them.

Just an idea but apart from that its awesome

1) Yes.
2) You would probably want to wait for the new default coming in a few weeks. (release of my theme will be after that, since it won't be ready before plus it will change the fallbacks a lot probably)

Eventually it will be up there, I already started the stub article for it. The real question is when am I going to release it? I'm not even sure of that yet. The earliest I'd release it is when committing is allowed again in the StepMania codebase so you guys can get this working without any hitches.
