NOTE: THIS IS A CUSTOM STEPMANIA BUILD. NOT JUST A THEME. DO NOT EXTRACT INTO YOUR REGULAR 3.9 SM FOLDER. THANKS!

WHAT IS IT?
A stepmania version of Beatmania DistorteD. In other words, Stepmania gameplay + Beatmania IIDX 13 looks.

WHO DID IT?
Me, AJ 187 (stepmania build modifying), and some advice from diekatze and others.

WOW SWEET CAN I MAKE MY OWN?
Sure, BUT.. you MUST credit me first.

I MEANT THE CHARTS. CUSTOM ONES.
Ooh, well in that case.. ah, you need to modify the BGA in STAGE and add a graphic for it in _songname. The BGA script should be fairly simple, since there are examples there. Other then that, put it with a templated banner and background, and it's all good! I will give a much better tutorial on this if demanded.

Okay, now for some screenshots.


ScreenSelectMusic
NOTE: This is about 95% complete. Most of the changes regarding fonts. Also, the menu timer is not real. It is just a static graphic.




ScreenGameplay
NOTE: Background videos show up on the right-hand side. If there is none available, the background of the song will show up instead. Also, the background of shows up on the left-hand side as well. Also note, the left-hand side is a conditional metric because you cannot display the background and the background video on the same screen here.


ScreenStage
NOTE: This is far from complete. It will soon mimic the IIDX DistorteD one very closely, this is just how far I got. Also using conditional metrics for the text.

NOTE: Badly needs functions. The menu selections actually work, by the way (And Beginner has its own screen).

NOTE: Needs some more elements, otherwise this is coming together nicely.

NOTE: No animations. But however it is working!

One suggestion...I believe there is a noteskin for IIDX mode in SM...somewhere. Maybe you could use that?

This is all based around SOLO mode, and using the keyboard. It is not meant for pad AT ALL.

One suggestion...I believe there is a noteskin for IIDX mode in SM...somewhere. Maybe you could use that?

I've actually got the graphics for the notes on IIDX (the official ones) and I could make a noteskin out of it.. but it would look weird. I'll come up with something.

Suggestion:

Don't call it beatmania IIDX 13

Give the game a new name. like... Keymania IIDX. If its for the keyboard. If it isn't DistorteD, don't call it that. I like the 6 panel in a row thing. This will be a fun keyboard game.
